Adam a5x nearfield studio monitors. It all depends on how big the room is where you gonna use them if its just a home studio id go with the a5x as it will be easier on the ears as a near field monitor. Recording studio it would be worth it to get the bigger a7x. I read somewhere that untreated small room doesnt gel well with a7x so a5x are more preferable.

Adam a5x vs adam a7 vs adam a7x. I also read that adams sound fatiguing. I dont like sharp harsh highs. Adding a sub to the room doesn t necessarily mean your mix is going to thump more.

Also how is adam a5x better than audioengine a5. After listening to several different models i tested out the adam a7x s and focal shape 65 s in my studio to see which one. The difference is the a5x has a 5 5 inch speaker and the a7x has a 7 inch speaker. In the end i opted to return the a5x s and get the a7x s when mf had the a7x s on sale.

My current music room is pretty small at about 9 x 7 and packed with both. I don t need the extended bass response to cause even more problems with the low end. But if you have alot of room ie. The a7x in my opinion has moved somewhat away from the concept of a nearfield monitor.

Again they are very similar great monitors but the x series came off as a little hyped in comparison which is possibly due to the bass ports this is my guess feel free to correct me. Like all models of the ax series the a5x is equipped with adam audio s proprietary x art tweeter. I m ditching my old bx8 s which i ve had forever and came with me from our old house with a much larger music room. This is my review of the adam a5x studio monitors.

3 comments on review. I m trying to decide if i should go with the a3x or a5x. I ve had both and was surprised how good the a5x sounded with a modeller in a small space at low volumes. Its open powerful sound makes the a5x a trustworthy and useful tool for multimedia applications as well.

Roll off of the a5x was just right for guitar in my situation. If you feel like reading a review of them here is one i recommend. A5 are great for minivan they are. I m happier with the a7x s but the a5x s were pretty cool.

Oh yeh had the truths for a while but compared to the a7 s the difference in fidelity was qu. I sit about 20inches away from speakers. I ve upgraded my studio monitors.
